“The female is strength.  Both soft and stern.  Women of color in this country (more than most) have risen from the ashes again and again like the phoenix, fiery bird of legend.  In my depiction, I sought to embody that strength and the rise.  If I can contribute in any way to changing the world around me, I will do so with my art.  People desperately need to see the pure beauty in one another.  I choose to show it to them.”


Kathleen Day ( @artist.kday on Instagram) – San Antonio, TX – and I am an internationally published contemporary artist, author and the mother of a brilliant special needs child prodigy with a cognitive disability who is also an artist @i.am.aiden.g (whom I educate, amongst other children occasionally).
