Jessica Kim

Jessica Kim (she/they) is a disabled young writer from Los Angeles, California. She is the 2022 West Regional Youth Poet Laureate and U.S. National Youth Poet Laureate runner-up, working with Urban Word Los Angeles and Beyond Baroque to advocate for civic engagement and social justice. A 2022 Youngarts Finalist in Writing (Poetry) and 2021 Commended Foyle Young Poet, Jessica is the author of L(EYE)GHT, a poetry chapbook on disability and runner up of Animal Heart Press’ Chapbook Contest. Alex Manebur

Alex Manebur (she/he/they) is an artist based in both California and the Midwest. She is an associate poetry editor for BreakBread Magazine and is enthusiastic about the mission of making literacy more accessible. Liminality and memory are often the focus of her projects, which range from poetry and music to digital and performance art. Her poetry can be found in Vagabond City, Peach Mag, and Camas.

Zoe Elisabeth is a poet from Washington, DC and a student at Sarah Lawrence College. She has previously been published in literary journals such as Kissing Dynamite, Caesura, Rust + Moth and Counterclock under the name Zoe Cunniffe. Abigail Chang is a writer, editor and digital designer currently based in Taipei, Taiwan. She is the Editor in Chief of SUNHOUSE Literary and the co-founder of Elfabet, a submission manager optimized for the literary community. Smile Ximai Jiang (she/her) is a poet from Shenzhen, China and resides in Massachusetts. A 2023 poetry mentee of The Adroit Journal’s Summer Mentorship Program, Smile serves as an editor for Polyphony Lit and The Lumiere Review. Her work appears or is forthcoming in Peach Mag, Palette Poetry, Rust & Moth, COUNTERCLOCK, diode poetry journal, and others. She is an incoming freshman at Yale University. Katie Grierson believes in aliens. She is a 2020 YoungArts Finalist in Novel-Writing, was named a Presidential Scholar in the Arts Semifinalist, and is an alumni of the Adroit Journal Summer Mentorship Program. Besides being prose editor for Bitter Fruit Review, she also overuses the em dash and her work has appeared or is forthcoming in Body Without Organs and Dishsoap Quaterly.

Zala Jambrovic Hatic

Zala Jambrovic Hatic (she/her) is a Slovenian writer and editor currently based in San Diego, CA. She holds a double BA in English and French from the University of Ljubljana and a MSc in Creative Writing from the University of Edinburgh. During her studies, she worked on several student publications as an editor, and she continues to be a member of the editorial board for The Selkie, an Edinburgh-based litmag that supports traditionally underrepresented writers. Her work can be found in From Arthur’s Seat and Hillfire Press, among others. An avid foodie and a full-time bookworm, she enjoys discovering new fictional worlds as well as creating her own.
