“Spring Returns”

Artist’s Statement

“Spring Returns” is a digital work inspired by the changing of seasons, both in the literal and abstract sense. In it, a figure embodying a mythical or fantastical representation of Spring enacts the cycle of seasons as death and dormancy return to life and vibrancy. The piece aims to represent the change in the physical world as Winter cycles into Spring, as well as the metaphorical as bleak times cycle back into joyous ones.
