Artist’s Statement
“As an artist, I work mainly in photography, though I also enjoy acrylics, ink drawing and digital collage, combination and effects.
Inspiration comes to me from many slants. Sometimes my role behind the lens is one of simply being in the moment, responding to the visual and reality as it is, when viewed from different and unusual perspectives.
But I also like to explore manipulated realities – merging/layering photos, applying distortion techniques and combining acrylics and photography.
A particular focus for me at the moment is nature, human interaction with the environment and climate change concerns. The woman with the red parasol features in many of my images that play with seasonal disturbances.”
